Introduction:

 The tour starts with hotel pick up we visit Unesco site of Ait Benhaddou. Then we explore Dades and Todra Gorges with optional hiking in the valley. We enjoy camel ride and sleeping in Merzouga. Tour Program:

Day 1: Menara Airport – Marrakech

 We will meet you at the airport and take you into Marrakech to your hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora

 We will leave Marrakech and travel through the famous mountain pass of Tizi N ’Tichka pass at an altitude of 2260 meters, on our journey to Ouarzazate. We will arrive in Ouarzazate in time for lunch. After lunch, we will continue our journey to Zagora through the Draa Valley. The Draa River which runs through the valley is the longest river in Morocco and the valley itself is famous for the dates which grow there. After we arrive in Zagora we will visit the Tamegoute religious center which is famous for its library which contains ancient manuscripts written on gazelle skins. We will also visit the pottery district where you will be able to admire the beautiful green pottery which is used throughout the kingdom.

Day 3: Zagora – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga

 After breakfast head off to the villages of Tazzarine and Alnif. We will stop for lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant in Alnif. In the afternoon we will visit a fortified village that was the cradle of the Alawite dynasty that ruled over Morocco for 3 centuries. Following this, we will continue our journey by driving through the Ziz Valley with its thousands of lush green date palms and its famous Kasbahs or fortified villages. We will finally arrive at Merzouga at the dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Day 4: Explorative journey of Merzouga (Camel Trekking)

 After breakfast, you can begin to explore the area. Visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan to discover their music and lifestyle, while not far away there is the lake of Merzouga with its bird populations. You can also visit the home of Nomadic Thread where many Berber handicrafts are cheaper than in the big cities. In the afternoon it is time for your camel trek where you discover the Sand Sea of Merzouga and watch the sunset over the dunes. Arrive at your well-equipped campsite stay the night in Nomadic Berber tents, enjoy a delicious dinner and evening with music and song by local Berber people.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todgha Gorges – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate

 Wake up in the early morning to enjoy the best sunrise of your life. Then ride your camels back to Merzouga village and enjoy the unique beauty of spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes with the changing light throughout the day. After breakfast in the Riad, you will leave for Rissani Tinghir and Todra Gorges – the highest in Morocco narrow gorges. After lunch in the heart of the Gorge, we continue through the Dades Valley, and Valley of Roses, spend Night in Ouarzazate.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Tizi N’Tichka – Marrakech

 After breakfast, we will head towards the Fint Oasis. At the top of a rocky peak, we will discover the Oasis nestled in the valley of a dried-up river bed, surrounded by the mountains. Here we find 4 small villages where time seems to stand still and where the people peacefully live on the resources of the Oasis. We will then continue on to Marrakech stopping for lunch and arrive in Marrakech late afternoon where you will spend the night The private tour with Morocco Camel Travel finishing in Marrakech.
