Tour Program:
Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
You will meet your guide in the Port or in the Airport to start your Trip towards Chefchaouen. On your way, you will cross the Rif Mountains and you will enjoy the wonderful views that this mountain chain has to offer. when we get to Chefchaouen you will have a free afternoon to discover this beautiful blue and white and Overnight in the local Riad or Hotel.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Ancient Roman City Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Today we will depart to Fez in the morning through many villages in r the Rif mountains, Then we will continue and drive to Volubilis -an archaeological site and features the best-preserved Roman ruins in this part of northern Africa. (UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997). We head to Meknes where we will visit the famous gates Bab el-Mansour and Moulay Ismail Tombs… after lunch we will drive to Fes Overnight will be in a local Riad in the Medina.
Day 3: Fes guided tour
Today we will explore the oldest city in Morocco. We will walk in its alleys and small streets and we visit places like the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter. We will visit the famous Al Karaouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. We stay here overnight in the medina.
Day 4: Fes – Azrou cadar forest – Midelt – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
Today we pass through Ifrane (winter ski resort built by the French in the 1930s to resemble a Swiss village), then we drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains and most of the morning we will be spent enjoying the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages we cross the Atlas Mountains. Then we stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and apples then we continue to Merzouga via Ziz Valley and Erfoud, the capital of the dates and we will be in Merzouga afternoon where we stay in a local hotel near the dunes.
Day 5: Merzouga Area – Camel Trek And Overnight In The Camp
After a luxurious breakfast, you’ll start exploring the area. You’ll be visiting the Gnawa people in their village Khamlia, where you will learn about the Gnawa music and their lifestyle. Afterward, we’ll drive in the Sahara desert area where we can meet nomad families still living under Berber tents which are made from the wool of their animals. Today our lunch will be a local meal (Berber pizza) after that we will drive back to our Hotel where your camel will be waiting for you, Guided by an experienced camel man . the camel ride takes about 1 hour and 30 mn to arrive in the camp where you will spend the night- in the middle of the highest sand dunes to enjoy the sunset and watch stars. the dinner will be served at the camp.
Day 6: Merzouga – Jerf – Todgha Gorges – Dades Valley
Your camel man will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise in your life, then you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village. En-route you won’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and shower in the Riad, you’ll leave for Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight in our traditional guest house with dinner and breakfast.
Day 7: Dades valley – Ouarzazate
After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbah providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. Today you will have the opportunity to meet Berber Nomads in their caves and then you will enjoy the fertile Rose valley and the rock formations along the way. We’ll stop at Kalaat M’gouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. Continuing on to Skoura and the bird’s valley, you’ll visit the Kasbah Amridil, a well-preserved kasbah in this area after, we will be Afternoon in Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”.over night will be in a Local Hotel or Riad.
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech
Today we’ll continue our journey to Marrakech, one of the four imperial cities in Morocco. We will have a small stop to visit or to take pictures of the movie studios of Ouarzazate. On our way to Marrakech, we will visit Aït Ben Haddou old Kasbah (UNESCO as world heritage). Then we’ll continue towards Marrakech. On our way, we will pass the highest road pass in North Africa. We will be in Marrakech afternoon.
Day 9: Marrakesh Sightseeing (Local guide)
Today your local guide will come to your Hotel or Riad around 09 am to start exploring the highlights of Marrakech – Koutoubia mosque, Saadian tombs, El Bahia Palace, Djemaa el Fna square and its souk … after lunch we will take you by car to visit Majorelle Garden after that we take you back to your Hotel.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport
Today depends on your flight, you will be transferred to the airport to attend your flight.
